ProductMetrics is live at productmetrics.org. Every product metric, explained.
This isn't a SaaS dashboard or an analytics tool. It's a reference site — the resource I wished existed when I was a product designer trying to understand which numbers actually matter and how to calculate them.
The site documents 26 product metrics with real depth: the formula, what it actually measures, benchmarks by industry, and real-world examples of how companies use each one. Metrics like activation rate, churn, LTV, DAU/MAU ratio, feature adoption — each gets its own page with the context that spreadsheets and dashboards never give you.
Beyond individual metrics, there are 4 framework guides: AARRR (pirate metrics), HEART (Google's UX framework), North Star Metrics, and OKRs. Each framework is explained not just in theory but in terms of which metrics feed into it and when to use it vs. the alternatives.
There's also a strategy guide that ties it all together — how to choose the right metrics for your stage, how to avoid vanity metrics, how to build a measurement practice that actually changes decisions.
No database, no login, no pricing page. Static content, fast loading, free to use. The whole point is to be the reference you bookmark and come back to.
