A full redesign of the marketplace for pop-up retail
Opening a pop-up shop should be as easy as booking a hotel room. In 2014 it was the opposite — finding short-term retail space meant a slow, broker-mediated scramble.
Storefront was the marketplace built to fix that, and I was its product designer. I rebuilt the web and mobile experience end to end, research through UX, to automate the manual middle, so renting a space (or filling one) felt effortless on both sides. The designs were clear.
Clear designs, it turned out, were only half the job. The other half was harder: getting an organization aligned to actually ship them. Storefront sold to Oui Open in 2016 before it came together. The pixels were never the bottleneck.
